how Mimi's was born
I have always enjoyed crafting, even as a child, and my friends would say She's never met a craft she didn't want to try. Working in the medical software industry, where most days can be stressful, you need an outlet — and crafting was my jam.
Always on the lookout for other obsessions (I mean, crafting opportunities), I stumbled onto dot mandala art. I started small, painting mostly on rocks, and slowly built my confidence to move to bigger canvases. I was hooked.
Then I found painted furniture — paint, decoupage, stamps, inlays, stencils, molds… everything I loved in one place. This section of the shop is small today, but it is going to grow.
So why open a shop? I developed some medical problems, then I was laid off. I decided I was tired of pouring myself into someone else's profit only to be tossed aside. I had had enough.

Yes — every single piece is hand painted by me in my studio. No two mandalas will ever be exactly alike, which is part of what makes them special.
Absolutely. Custom orders are a favorite of mine. We'll collaborate on your color palette and, to some degree, the design. Reach out via the contact form to get started.
I paint on birch plywood rounds using premium water-based acrylic paints for high quality and fade resistance. Rhinestones are placed throughout many pieces for added dimension and shine.
Each mandala ships with an XL sawtooth hook on the back for easy wall hanging — no extra hardware needed.
Timelines vary based on size and complexity. Most custom mandalas take 2–4 weeks from color approval. I'll give you a clear estimate when we chat.
Yes — pieces ship carefully packaged from Lakeland, Florida. Shipping costs are calculated per order based on size.
